Fall is here; cue the sweaters, cider, and cozy nights in! But before you hunker down for the season, we’ve got a few updates and tips to keep your home (and air!) in top shape.
Plumbing Do’s and Don’ts for the Holidays
The holidays are all fun and games until the sink stops draining and the garbage disposal waves a white flag. Keep your plumbing merry and bright with these quick tips:
Do:
- Run plenty of cold water when using your garbage disposal.
- Toss grease, oil, and fat in the trash — not down the drain!
- Break up food scraps before sending them to the disposal.
Don’t:
- Don’t put potato peels, rice, pasta, or coffee grounds in the disposal, they’re clog culprits!
- Don’t forget to run your dishwasher and disposal separately to avoid overload.
Keep these in mind, and your plumbing will stay jolly all season long. And if things go sideways… don’t panic. Just call Pearson! We’ll have your pipes singing “Fa-La-La” in no time!
